Advanced Heating and Cooling Curves Training with Vabi Elements
This advanced course will outline the process and methodology required to deliver the optimised heating and cooling of air-conditioned office buildings, using Vabi Elements. The session will be supported by practical examples to enable you to significantly reduce a building’s energy consumption without investing in new hardware. Experience has shown that a reduction of up to 25% in energy consumption is typically achievable, giving substantial cost savings within the first 12 months.
Building performance criteria are discussed and explored, as is each input for building simulation. The course uses case studies to explore how building simulation can be used as a design and assessment tool. During the session a building is simulated for a whole year, from hour to hour, providing an overview of all energy flows and temperatures.
Audience
The Advanced Heating and Cooling Curves training with Vabi Elements is suitable for building physics specialists and building services engineers, including those interested in climate control and the sizing of HVAC systems.
Prerequisites
A background or training in building physics or building services is required to successfully complete the course. Participants must have undertaken the Vabi Elements introductory training course.
Objectives
Cost and carbon are a priority for national governments around the globe; with the retrofit market a major growth area. This training course will provide you with the expertise to significantly reduce your client’s existing energy consumption and costs, without investing in hardware. The typical consultation period is two days, resulting in a fast-tracked payback period for your client.
